Why it matters
What carbon buildup is, in plain words
Direct injection sprays fuel straight into the cylinder. That is great for power and mileage. It also means the back of your intake valves never gets washed by fuel.
Over time, oil vapor bakes onto those valves as hard carbon. Airflow drops. You feel a rough idle, misfires, lost power, and worse mileage.
Most GDI engines need the valves cleaned around every 60,000 miles. Most drivers never hear about it until the check engine light comes on.

The core service for GDI engines. We remove the intake, blast the carbon off the valves with walnut shell media, and reseal. From $450.
DPF cleaning
For diesels. We clean the diesel particulate filter so it flows and regenerates the way it should. From $350.
Fuel injector service
Flow testing and cleaning so every cylinder gets an even, clean spray. From $220.
Borescope carbon inspection
A camera inside the engine so you can see the carbon before you spend a dollar. $95, credited when you book a cleaning.
